People often comment about the passion I have to share stories and reflections about the past and my life growing up in Lebanon. Most of those who have never immigrated will probably never understand. Some who did may not either. Not that I don't appreciate the present and look forward to the future, I do. I cherish every passing day and look forward to the next, but for me, there is something gripping about the past and its moments, happy be they or sad. The past molded me into who I am in the present. It is the anchor that keeps me steady, the hand that thrusts me forward, the light that guides my way.
